About me

I have worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist since 1994 in private practice.  I have also worked for the N.H.S., national charities, with employees in public and private institutions, in education, and other agencies.

I trained and am experienced in practicing psychoanalytic psychotherapy, gestalt and other humanist therapies.  My trainings were at the Institute for Psychotherapy and Social Studies, the Tavistock Clinic, the Pellin Institute, and others.  I have a professional diploma, and MA, in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, and a certificate, diploma, and advanced diploma in counselling and psychotherapy.  I am a member of U.K.C.P. and I.P.S.S., and have taught psychotherapy students on Professional Diploma and MA courses.  I also supervise student trainees, counsellors and other therapists.

I previously taught young children (3-11 years), and trained and specialised in children with special needs.  Subsequently I worked for many years with the families of the children with autism and other special needs.  I also helped to train, and support teachers, social workers, and other professionals, to improve services for children and their families.
